5th April, Wild Coast, Highport, night.
Unwell, Lucien stays in the room while the rest of the party go to scout the citadel. The party make their way along the citadel wall to the docks. The walls that separate the citadel from the rest of the city are 25 feet high. The wall is damaged in many places and poorly maintained making it easy to climb. The wall has two gates each flanked by round towers. Atop each gate a half dozen orcs keep watch. Both gate have been breached some time in the past and have been crudely repaired.
The party make their way to the docks. Tellius strips down, enters the water and uses his magical ability to remain submerged while he maps out the waterline perimeter of the citadel. He discovers an underwater sewer exit. Meanwhile the rest of the party walk the city. At the street of the gods they notice a crowd following a procession of chanting orcs. The procession enters one of the temples converted to the worship of Grummash. The party return to the docs. His scouting mission complete Tellius rejoins the party and they all head back to their rooms at the inn. As the party enter the inn they can hear distant chanting coming from the direction of the Street of the Gods. The chanting stops followed by a long scream.
A very ill Lucien greets them back in their room. Marcus goes to climb the citadel wall to get a look at what is on the other side. Edgaar accompanies him. The pair return and report what they discovered. In the morning Tellius and Saab go to Fek the healer to purchase a cure for Lucien. As they approach the healers shop they see that business is booming. A number of customer exit the establishment. Inside Fek has expanded his business, extra tables have been erected and a huge half ogre mercenary stands guard. Fek quickly greets them "Welcome strangers! I'll deal with this customer and serve you shortly". When the customer departs Fek reaches under the counter and tosses Tellius a pouch of coins. "I was wondering when you'd turn up. That is for taking care of my competition. Not that I asked you to do anything you understand." He winks. Apparently Fek believes the party have killed Feodor. Tellius and Saab are not about to correct him. Instead they ask about a cure for Lucien. Fek gives them a root from a plant. "On the house." On the way back to the inn Tellius inspects the contents of the ouch and is shocked to discover 50 gold coins. Tellius decides to keep the money secret from Marcus for now.
When Tellius and Saab return to the inn Saab mashes the root and prepares a tea with it. Within an hour of drinking the brew Lucien starts feeling better. Later in the day Edgaar and Marcus go to observe the gates to the citadel. They see a number of slaves lead from the citadel to the slave markets. Less than was lead to the citadel the previous day. The slaves are auctioned off. A few old and sickly slaves have trouble attracting bids. After the auction those are sold off for a few silver each to a group of orcs lead by a priest of Grummash. Edgaar also notices a number of merchants enter the citadel and leave some time later with slaves. Edgaar follows one of these merchants to the docks where the slaves are loaded on to a cog (ship).
The party regroup at their room at the inn and plan an incursion into the citadel.
